I've been shooting as long as I can remember, and gravitated toward big sixguns early on. I can remember shooting Dad's Super Blackhawk when I was no more than 7 or 8. The first gun of my own was a single action 22, bought with the allowance money I'd saved. Not long before my 9th birthday I thumbed through a catalog from one of Dad's distributors, picked out a gun that fit my budget, and asked him to order it for me. I don't remember his reaction, but I know it must have made his day. He added the 22 Magnum cylinder as a birthday present.
